Mimi Barnes

Mimi Barnes has been an active home loan lender in our area for nearly two decades with great experience in not only traditional home loans, but FHA, VA and Rural Housing. Prior to being a mortgage lender, Mimi was a realtor in the area and active with the Kankakee Association of Realtors. She served as President of the Kankakee Iroquois Ford Association of Realtors in 2003, Treasurer of the Homebuilders Association of Kankakee in 2009, and was named the 2010 KIFAR Affiliate of the Year. Mimi is also active in several community organizations. Mimi is bi-lingual (Spanish). Mimi currently serves as an Assistant Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer, specializing in consumer and mortgage loans at Peoples Bank. Mark Kaner

Mark Kaner began his career in the financial industry after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University in 2005.  Actually, he even worked in banking during his college days as a bank teller.   After graduation, Mark worked as a real estate appraiser for seven years here in Kankakee County.  In 2011 he returned full time to the banking industry as a loan analyst.  From there, Mark became a residential mortgage lender, and later transitioned into a role as commercial lender.  He started at Peoples Bank in July of 2019 as a Commercial Loan Officer/Assistant Vice President, and he is located at the Bourbonnais office of Peoples Bank.  His direct phone number is 815-937-3141.  Mark is a lifelong resident of Kankakee County, and his commitment to our community is unbeatable.   He believes in the power of community banking, and truly enjoys working with the local residents.    

Matt Olszewski

Matt Olszewski began his career in finance and banking in 1987 after graduating from Northwestern University with a degree in economics. Matt's first position was as an analyst for a real estate development firm in Chicago. In 1991, he joined a local community bank as a loan officer where he worked for over 16 years and was eventually named Chief Lending Officer. He then applied his talents for a couple of big, multi-national, publicly traded banks where he gained a different perspective on banking. Joining Peoples Bank in September 2011, Matt is happy to be back to his roots of community banking. Darby Sweeney

Darby Sweeney brings nearly 20 years of experience as a lender and has a broad knowledge of the real estate markets in the Iroquois, Ford and Kankakee County area. Darby is able to assist customers with all types of residential mortgages, including FHA, VA and Rural Housing. Todd Troeger

Todd Troeger's professional career in the financial services industry began in 1988 after earning a bachelor's degree from Indiana University and a graduate degree from the University of Notre Dame. His first job was as a commercial loan credit analyst for a bank located in his hometown of South Bend, Indiana. In 2002, Todd went to work for a global financial institution with offices in the south suburbs of Chicago. He and his family moved to Illinois that same year. Todd believes that the philosophy of community banking, as well as that of Peoples Bank, provides local business owners with an experience far superior to other financial institutions.
